Rest In Peace Victor Paek

"Victor's heart stopped beating at around noon and doctors did all they could to revive him. Soon after, VICTOR PAEK WENT HOME TO BE WITH THE LORD.

Psalm 116.15 says, "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints." Victor indeed was a saint.

Surgery began last night at 9pm and lasted until 11am this morning. Every hour, the nurse would say that the situation was critical, that they were not sure that he would make it through surgery. Victor's family prayed for 14 hours straight. Nurses kept saying, "He's hanging in there, but he's critical." His blood pressure was constantly dropping. The intestine was removed and they were not sure if the liver could be transplanted because it had become so enlarged. But Victor hung in there and fought hard. He lost so much blood and eventually his heart stopped working.

For the past year, we prayed that Victor would be relieved from his suffering. He is now.
We prayed that Victor would know God's nearness. He knows it now.
We prayed that Victor would live in fulfillment of his name. He's living it now.

Victor Paek was an amazing young man who in the last year of his life gave his life to Jesus Christ and courageously and bravely fought the good fight. Now He rests in glory, welcomed home moments ago by saints and angels and our Savior Himself. The view from where he is must be amazing.

Funeral arrangements are being made--we'll make announcements as they're available.

Please pray for Won, Regina, Philip and Arthur as they mourn and grieve.

Let's be the Church,"

Not too long ago, around 2:20 Pm, July 24, 2009, our dear brother Victor Paek went home to be with the Lord. He has come a long way, but it was God's will that Victor would join the Lord in heaven. Let's pray for peace and comfort at the fact that Victor is home, without pain, and worshiping Christ with all that has. Rest in peace Victor Paek, We love you!
