As They Come Back, We Leave

So before I get into what I really want to say, I figured I would give you lovely individuals a brief update on my life and what I have planned for the future.

Seeing as how my 2012 Cypress Creek Prom was the last update you guys have seen, since then, I have graduated, quite my job, been preparing for my mission trip to Ecuador, and have been preparing for college.

From June 5-July 21, I have been relaxing here at home and working to save up for college. While I loved my job at Puma, it was time for me to leave. While I have been an associate with Puma since July 1, 2011, I cannot thank Puma enough for the multiple things they have done for me. They have helped me develop different social skills, patience, discipline, responsibility, etc. I can truly say that Puma is one of the best corporations one could work for. They go out of their way to take care of their employees and do all they can to make it comfortable for their employees.

Come this Tuesday, July 24, I will be departing for a two week trip to Ecuador. I will return August 3 and had I continued my job with Puma until I leave for college, I would work for one two more weeks. With that said, I decided to resign from my position as sales associate with Puma prior to my departure to Ecuador so that when I return, I have time to relax and fellowship with those dearest to my heart.

Following my return from Ecuador, come August 19, I will move up to Gainesville, FL to start my fall semester of my freshman year at the University of Florida, while pursuing a major in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology, specifically exercise physiology.

Now for the juicy stuff!

For those of you who have been following me for quite some time, many of you may remember my previous mission trips to Ecuador back in 2010 and 2011. Well, I am proud to announce to you that I am going once again!

Come this Tuesday, July 24, 2012, I will be going back to Ecuador for the third time to minister to those dear to my heart and to honor the price that Joshua Tico Kim paid last year for the gospel's sake. Our team will be leaving Orlando July 24, 2012 via American Airlines (flight #1593) from the Orlando International Airport (MCO)@12.10pm and return August 3, 2012 via American Airlines (flight #1860)@11.10am. If you would like to come out to support the team and pray us off, we will be meeting at the Orlando International Airport at 9.30am.

As important as it is for us to go, it is equally important for those staying to send us. Without your prayers our ministry is hopeless. It is only through God will our ministry bring individuals to know the gospel. And so, we ask that you pray for us and with us as we go for it is your prayers that we rely on.

While your prayers are our #1 concern, if any of you would like to support the team financially, you can do so electronically by clicking here.

I thank you all for your prayers, love, and support and I cannot wait to return home to tell you of the amazing things God is doing the Amazon region of Ecuador. I will lastly leave you with an electronic copy of my personal support letter if you wish to know more of exactly why I am going, what we will be doing, and how you can get involved.

With much love,
Isaac JAK Lee

P.S
Please keep in mind that this is meant to be a tri-fold letter.

Bienvenidos Summer Mission Team - DR!

Every summer, my church sends out a mission team to the Dominican Republic to preach the gospel, minister to the Dominicans, etc. From July 2 - July 12, our church's 2012 Harvest Summer Mission Team - Dominican Republic spent approximately two weeks in the DR obeying God's calling to minister and love on the people in the DR. In many ways, our team was ministered to by the Dominicans; however, praise God for their wonderful, Christ-centered ministry while they were there. From playing with the children, holding VBS sessions, performing skits, worshipping through body worship, etc., God used our team members to spread the Gospel in the DR. Below is a slight recap video of our teams time in the DR.

Thanks be to our eight team members:
Pastor Albert Young, Mimi Jang, Jeewon Ryu, Eddie Yoo,
Timmy Kuk, Ryan Lee, Daniel Chang and Joshua Choi.

2012 CCHS Prom

Man, to believe that my high school career is done is crazy!!! It's no lie when people say that the four years of high school goes by quickly!!!!

As I look at the past four years of my life, i could not have asked for a better group of individuals to have grown up with. Each and every one of you members of the Class of 2012 have played an integral part in my maturing process over the past four years. I seriously, thank you guys so much for an amazing four years and for putting up with me!!!!

Some people say that the LAST thing we seniors do together is go to prom... Due to some personal reasons, I decided NOT to go to prom this year... I KNOW!!!! Some of you think I'm crazy but in reality, it was what I felt I needed to do... I knew that my true friends would remain my friends with or without prom, and in the end, I should not need prom or any other event to spend time with the people I love..... HOWEVER!!! because my friends did go to prom, I at least had the honor and privilege of photographing their pre-prom photos and I must admit, all the men looked very handsome and the ladies looked gorgeous... And so, I shall stop talking now and let you all see what you really want to.... ENJOY!!!!!!

Here, we have a MAJORITY of the couples that went to prom
With the exception of those who came late...

And here we have the ladies on the left and gentlemen on the right....
As you can see, this confirms my statement earlier about the ladies looking beautiful,
And the men looking handsome....
Very well done my friends....

And we have our complete group shot!

Hope you all had an amazing, fun, and safe night....
I love you all...
CLASS OF 2012 BABBBBYYYYYYY!!!!

Easter Baptism and Confirmation

This past easter, Harvest had the amazing blessing of witnessing the baptism and confirmation of 5 members at Harvest. It's always an amazing thing to see as I remember and recollect why I can call myself a son of God and for what reason I went through the same baptism and confirmation process last year.

Seeing as how I don't have much more to say, here are the pictures, ENJOY!

2012 VJ RALLY

Many of you may remember a revival held back in 2011 called the 2011 Vitamin Jesus Rally. Well, this past March 29-30, I am proud to say that God has continued to shower down His blessings with our 2012 Vitamin Jesus Rally.

The idea behind VJ Rally, but more importantly this years VJ Rally was this...
In 2005, a group of youth from our church who longed for revival in our church and in local Korean churches planned the first-ever Vitamin Jesus Rally (VJ Rally). In the same way that we take vitamins as a supplement and not a replacement for our daily nourishment, the VJ Rally was started to supplement our regular spiritual feeding through our personal devotions and local church gatherings. The VJ Rally has been held every year as a student-led initiative to see the name of Jesus exalted. This year, the VJ Rally is inviting other youth ministries from Central Florida Presbytery to join in fellowship and in seeking revival. The rally will be held from March 30-31. Attendees are encouraged to arrive at the Korean Presbyterian Church of Orlando (16796 Davenport Rd Winter Garden, FL 34787) at 6.00PM, Friday March 30, and return Saturday afternoon at 12.30PM for a full day of worship, seminars, and fellowship. Praise will be lead by Josh Nelson and the word will be delivered to us by Pastor Zach Van Dyke of Orangewood Presbyterian Church, with special guest performances by musician Kim Edwards and the Drama Gators, a traveling drama team from UF.
While this is TERRIBLY late, I would like to give a couple shout outs....

  • Pastor Zach - Thank you so much!!! Your sermons were exactly what we were looking for. Thank you so much for really following our theme of "Healing is in His Hands." We were so blessed beyond belief and imagination by your sermons.
  • Josh Nelson and the Praise Team Band - Wow! You guys were PHENOMENAL! Josh, Danny, Christina, Jon, Paul, John and Kim, you guys were AMAZING!!!! From your amazing God-given talents to just your child-like faith in Christ, thank you guys so much for everything!
  • Kim Edwards and Cynthia Schafer - you guys are the ultimate duo! Kim, you are so talented in your singing and your career as an artist. Cynthia, you amazed me when you told me you've played so many instruments. From cello to piano to singing to everything else, thank you guys so much for taking multiple days out of your tour to spend time with us and bless us with your music. For you readers, BUY AND LISTEN TO KIM'S ALBUM WANDERLUST... It's awesome.
  • Drama Gators - You guys continue to amaze me. You guys truly have an amazing talent. From singing to body worship to skits, amazing job.... Thank you so much for blessing us with your talents.
  • Student Leadership Team - I am sooooo, SOOOOOOO proud of you guys. Thank you guys so much. For all that you do, for dealing with me, for serving, for wanting to serve, for.... well FOR EVERYTHING!!!! This rally was YOUR rally and you guys really did an amazing job planning things out. I could not, COULD NOT have asked for a better team to have served with. I love you ALL!!!!
