Sharks and Stingrays = Fun?!?!

For those of you who know me, you will find that I need to do something to have fun. Some people simply have fun watching Youtube Videos or NBA highlights. Now don't get me wrong, I do enjoy those; however, for me to have honest, sincere fun, I need to be doing something. This may include...

  • Fishing
  • Bowling
  • Basketball
  • Golf
  • Any sport really....
  • Eating with friends
  • Chillin' with friends
You may realize, me being living Florida, there are two crucial activities that I'm missing, theme parks and the beach. For me, I don't enjoy theme parks or beaches but, before you begin to judge me, let me explain. In my perspective, true, honest fun is something does not require a lot of effort for it to be fun. What do I mean? When it comes to theme parks/beaches, you have to drive all the way there (beaches in particular), spend A BUNCH of money on tickets, parking, food, etc., carry around extra clothes and other necessities, etc. My main point is to emphasize how I do not like the beach. The only time I enjoy the beach is to play sports, go surfing, or to take pictures. Despite my dislike for the beach, for the month of March, our SNF (Saturday Night Fellowship) meeting was at the beach.

I was extremely hesitant to enter the water because one of my biggest fears are sharks. For about the past week, the news has been reporting stories of sharks and sting rays in various beaches along the eastern coast of Florida. Even with my fear, I decided to suck it up and go. I can't lie, it was fun. The other kids were having an awesome time and when you're in an environment such as that, you just can't help but "catch" some of the joy and laughter. It truly was an awesome time....
