CTI Visits!

CTI Ministries is "a community of young people who combine their common passion for music with their mutual desire to share the love of Christ." Jon Lee, a dear brother to myself and many others at Harvest, joined one of the CTI teams as an electric/acoustic guitarist. Jon Lee truly loves music. When he was buying guitars or playing Shane & Shane or leading worship, Jon was doing whatever he could to praise Christ. In August 2009, Jon Lee was.... "deployed" to join the CTI team, 14:22.

Within the CTI Team 14:22, they have 3 main purposes...
  1. To encourage the church
  2. Challenge christians to loving action
  3. To share the love of Christ to those who don't know
In CTI 14:22, there are 8 members.
  1. Lead male vocalist/ acoustic guitarist: Eric Mok
  2. Lead female vocalist: Lesley Denford
  3. Keyboardist/ female vocalist: Rachelle Poppema
  4. Electric guitarist/ male vocalist: Matt Adams
  5. Electric/ acoustic guitarist: Jon Lee
  6. Bass guitarist: Dan Mumbert
  7. Drummer/ percussionist: Denny Nestibo
  8. Sound tech/ team leader: Jeff Hau
Here is a quick word from the team:
"there are 3 ways to partner with supporting us.
  1. Through prayer: we definitely can't do what we're doing without prayer. Pray for safety as we travel around the country and do what we do. Pray for health. Pray for the team, that we would have a unified vision to lead people into a time of worship and pray for those we'll be ministering to.
  2. Through finances: There are many ways of supporting us financially. If you feel led to support us in this way, contact one of us and we'll point you in the right direction.
  3. The most exciting way to partner with us, is by actually joining a team and coming along with us: If you are between the ages of 16-30ish, and you play any of the instruments we play or mix sound, and want to use your passion for music to spread the gospel throughout the world, consider joining either a 6-week summer tour overseas or a year-long domestic tour. If you have any questions, again, feel free to contact one of us and we'll point you in the right direction."
The team visited this past Saturday on January 29, 2010 and they were indeed a blessing to us all. They are living life and doing what they love. Through small acts of playing instruments and leading other in worship, they are indeed being the salt and light of the earth. Here are some pictures...

After the "concert"/worship service, we originally wanted to go to Twisty Treat but they closed so instead we went to McDonalds. You can just see how close they are.

Here's the team
Jeff Hau (left, black shirt), Lesley Denford (left, next to Jeff), Jon Lee (center left, green jacket), Rachelle Poppema (center back), Dan Mumbert (center w/ hat), Eric Mok (center right, red jacket), Matt Adams (right) and Denny (not included) who was resting up in the van.

Joshua "Tico" Kim (center, grey/ purple jacket) and Hannah "Goonie" Kim (right in between Eric and Matt) both auditioned (Josh = bass, Hannah = female vocals)
And should be hearing from CTI ministries shortly.

Overall, the team is an extreme blessing and the love of Christ just overflows from their heart. If you are interested in supporting the team in any of the above way, contact me and I will direct you to the right person.

  3. I love your pictures. Nice work. I saw some on Facebook and thought they were Jon's (only because of the signature). My bad, I was giving credit to the wrong guy!
Glad you enjoyed 14:22, we enjoy them too :-)
